Even if you were to invent something earth-shattering, you would not earn any money from of it if you left the invention on your desk. The only way you can profit from it is by selling it and in order to achieve this, you have to inform people that it exists, that it is for sale and where they may get it from. In other words, you have to advertise it.

The US Patents Office has issued thousands patents for items that never made it and many of those did not make it, not because they were not excellent concepts, but because their inventors did not know what to do with them. A business is more or less the same as a new invention. It has to be advertised, unless it is situated in the middle of the only street in town.

Having already started the business, it is to be expected that, you have already worked out your target market and evaluated the need for your products or services. Now you have to convert those potential customers into satisfied customers and this is where your promotional strategy comes in.

A promotional strategy is nothing more than a for reaching your intended market, which is of course the people most likely to require your services or products. At its simplest, your promotional strategy might consist of just hanging a sign over your door and relying on word of mouth from satisfied customers to circulate, so doing your advertising for you.

In some cases, this is indeed all the advertising a business needs, but the circumstances are not that common really. It works, if you are operating in a very small town or if your product or service is unique or very specialized or if you enjoy a long-standing good reputation. However, normally, customers require more details to go on before they will be drawn to your business.

Therefore, the objective of your promotional strategy should be to get in touch with the greatest quantity of potential customers by the most economical use of your means, which may include money, personnel and facilities. This means that you have to divine the channels of communication most used by your potential customers and try to get a message to them through those. This is normally constrained by a budget.

Advertising involves the purchasing of time or space in the media you have chosen in order to market your business to your intended market. You then have to decide which form of advertising you are going to use: institutional or product advertising. Institutional advertising markets the firm’s name as in: ‘Larry’s Boot Shop - The Best In Town’, whereas product advertising is more specific and might read: ‘Nike Walking Boots - 30% off at Larry’s. Both types of advertising can be effective and lend themselves better to some media than to others. Laser Treatment Classes for Medical Spas

The rise of laser treatments in laser clinics and med spas has led to accelerating advancements in cosmetic lasers. New and improved cosmetic lasers are entering the cosmetic medical market every few months. This quickening development curve is changing the classification criterion of cosmetic lasers every few months. Class 1

Lasers with emissions that don’t exceed the maximum permitted exposure (MPE) under any conditions are class 1 systems.

A potential hazard can occur during the repair of such devices if the repair process involves operating the laser outside of the enclosure case.

Warning labels are required for this class inside the unit or underneath the cover.

Class 2a

Lasers in this class do not pose a threat unless the laser is directly viewed for more than 16 minutes or so and encompasses visible light lasers with a total output power less than 1 milliwatt, but greater than a few microwatts.

Class 2

Another class of visible light lasers that are intense enough that when shined in your eye can cause the normal aversion response. (The aversion response is when the eyelids close, or the head moves in order to avoid the light. It occurs within 0.25 seconds and includes the blink reflex time.)

Class 3a Lasers

Class of lasers that includes those emitting ultraviolet or infrared light as well as visible light. All devices within the Class 1 AEL (Allowed Exposure Level) with laser output between .18μm and 1mm fall in this class. Common Laser pointers that are readily available are class 3a laser devices.

Class 3b

This class of lasers includes the same laser output spectrum as class 3a, but increases the output level to that of Class 2 AEL.

Class 4

This class of lasers includes any that exceeds the Class 2 AEL. Most every laser that produces an excess of 0.5 watts is in this class.

Stamp It: you can buy a large packet of literally thousands of foreign stamps for very little. Buy a stamp album and hinges and you could start a lasting obsession. It also gives you gift ideas for years to come too.

I love my caffeine, fact. It makes me feel good and gives me a great boost when I’m starting to flag. As I’m not a great morning person either, I would be unbearable if I didn’t have my cup of coffee to make me feel human in the mornings!

I have to have drinks containing caffeine throughout the day to keep me motivated and able to concentrate. Those big jobs that I’ve stayed late to complete on time should have ‘caffeine’ mentioned in the credits, as I couldn’t have done them without it!

Resisting caffeine late at night is the hardest part. There’s nothing quite like a coffee to round off a meal in a restaurant, and this is the hardest one for me to say no to.

Apparently, I have to fight my urge for caffeine if I want to sleep at night. The later in the day you drink caffeine, the later it’ll be before you can go to sleep, etc etc.

Caffeine is supposed to hang around in our systems for anything up to ten hours. So on that premise; if you have your last coffee at 4 p.m it will still be there at 2 a.m. Although this open to debate depending on the individual and the fact that everyone’s body acts differently without the caffeine boost.

Those that also sweeten their drinks are more than likely to have a ‘crash’ than others, due to lack of caffeine and sugar. It is those who crash that tend to get to sleep quicker.

Your best bet is to test yourself and how your body reacts. Take your last cup later each day and gauge the reaction and whether you can sleep or not.

Ensure that you do this gradually though; only by having that drink 30 minutes or an hour later per day. This makes sure that you get your cut off point without a sleepless night.
